How to Choose the Right Roof Color for Your Evansville Home

Red brick is one of the most common exterior materials in Evansville's older neighborhoods. It pairs well with charcoal, dark brown, weathered wood, and slate gray shingles. Avoid colors that clash with the warm orange-red of brick — bright blues or cool greens.

White or light gray siding is versatile — it works with almost any roof color. Charcoal and dark gray are the most popular choices for a clean, modern look.

Tan or beige siding works well with brown blends, weathered wood, and warm gray tones.

Your roof color does not exist in isolation — it exists in the context of your street and neighborhood. A color that looks great in isolation can look jarring if it is dramatically different from every other home on the block.

Look at installed examples: Ask your contractor if they have recently completed jobs in your color choices that you can drive by. Seeing a color on an actual house in your area is the most reliable way to evaluate it.

Neutral, broadly appealing colors maximize resale value. Charcoal, weathered wood, and medium gray are the safest choices from a resale perspective — they appeal to the widest range of buyers.
