That's why Rock's Roofs exclusively offers Malarkey shingles — the most environmentally advanced roofing product on the market. Built from recycled waste, engineered to clean the air, and designed to last decades. Better for your home. Better for the planet.
What's Actually in These Shingles
Malarkey diverts end-of-life tires from landfills and grinds them into crumb rubber, which is blended into the shingle's polymer-modified asphalt. This rubber makes shingles more flexible, more impact-resistant, and dramatically extends their lifespan.
Learn more at Malarkey.comPost-consumer plastic bags and milk cartons are recycled into the polymer modifier used in Malarkey's NEX® polymer-modified asphalt. This keeps thousands of pieces of plastic out of landfills and waterways — per roof installed.
Learn more at Malarkey.comMalarkey's SMOG-REDUCING granules contain a titanium dioxide photocatalyst that reacts with sunlight to break down nitrogen oxide (NOx) — a primary component of smog. Each Malarkey roof reduces the equivalent smog of driving a car ~10,000 miles per year.
Learn more at Malarkey.comThe Full Picture
Every Malarkey roof Rock installs keeps waste out of landfills, cleans the air, and protects your home for decades. Here's the full breakdown of what makes these shingles unlike anything else on the market.
Malarkey's proprietary NEX® technology blends recycled crumb rubber (from tires) and recycled plastics into the asphalt base. The result is a shingle that is more flexible, more durable, and more impact-resistant than standard asphalt — while keeping thousands of pounds of waste out of landfills.
Malarkey is the only shingle manufacturer to embed smog-reducing granules as a standard feature. The titanium dioxide photocatalyst in the granules reacts with UV light to break down NOx pollution — the same smog-forming compound emitted by cars and industrial equipment. One Malarkey roof reduces approximately 21 lbs of NOx per year.
Malarkey shingles are treated with 3M Scotchgard technology, which releases copper ions that prevent algae from taking hold on the shingle surface. This eliminates the black streaking that plagues roofs in Indiana's humid climate — and keeps your roof looking new for years longer without pressure washing.
Malarkey's Vista AR and Legacy AR shingles carry a Class 4 impact resistance rating — the highest available. This is critical in Indiana's hail-prone climate. Many insurance companies offer premium discounts of 20–30% for Class 4 rated roofs. Ask us about potential savings.
Most roofing contractors install whatever shingle is cheapest or most available. Rock's Roofs made a different choice. We install Malarkey because we believe your roof should protect your home and the environment — without compromise.

Rock's Roofs was founded by Ryan Gamblin with one goal: give Evansville homeowners a roofing contractor they can actually trust. No out-of-state storm chasers, no high-pressure sales tactics — just a local crew that shows up on time, does the job right, and stands behind their work with a real warranty.
The Rock's Roofs Difference
We've replaced and repaired hundreds of roofs across Evansville and the Tri-State area. Here's what sets us apart from the competition.
We're not a franchise or a storm-chasing crew from out of state. Rock's Roofs is based in Evansville — we live here, work here, and our reputation depends on every job we do.
We install Owens Corning, GAF, and Malarkey shingles — three of the top brands in the industry. You choose the product; we install it right.
We've helped hundreds of Evansville homeowners navigate storm damage claims. We meet adjusters on-site and document everything to maximize your coverage.
You get a written estimate before any work starts. No surprise charges, no hidden fees — just a clear scope of work and a fair price.
Indiana storm season is no joke. If your roof took a hit, call Rock's Roofs first. We'll inspect the damage, document everything for your insurance company, and get your roof repaired or replaced quickly — often within days of claim approval.

Check If We Serve Your AreaLocal Knowledge
Rock's Roofs has replaced and repaired roofs in every corner of Evansville and the surrounding Tri-State area. From the historic homes on the East Side to the newer subdivisions in Newburgh and the river communities in Posey County — we know the neighborhoods, the weather patterns, and the specific challenges each area presents.
The East Side is home to some of Evansville's oldest neighborhoods — Bayard Park, Oaklyn, and Stringtown — where aging roofs on 1920s–1960s homes are a common concern. We specialize in matching period-appropriate shingle profiles while upgrading to modern impact-resistant materials that stand up to Indiana hail seasons.
West Side neighborhoods like Howell Park, Goosetown, and the areas near USI see heavy spring storm activity. We respond quickly to wind and hail damage calls on the West Side and work directly with insurance adjusters to get claims processed fast — often completing full replacements within 7–10 days of approval.
Newburgh is one of the fastest-growing communities in the Tri-State area. New construction and established subdivisions alike need roofing contractors who understand Warrick County building codes and HOA requirements. Rock's Roofs is fully licensed in Indiana and familiar with every permit office in the county.
We cross the river regularly to serve homeowners in Henderson and Owensboro, Kentucky. Our crews are licensed in Kentucky and understand the specific wind-load requirements for Ohio River corridor homes. Storm season hits Kentucky just as hard as Indiana — and we're ready on both sides of the bridge.
No matter which neighborhood you call home, Rock's Roofs brings the same commitment: licensed crews, manufacturer-certified installations, transparent pricing, and a workmanship warranty that protects your investment for years to come. Call us at (812) 459-2139 for a free, no-obligation estimate.
